The 90-Day Project Leader  |  1:1 Coaching Program

All Available Slots Have Been Filled

To ensure everyone gets ample time and attention, I serve up to twelve 1:1 coaching clients at a time. Once all slots are filled, I close my coaching program temporarily until slots become available.  Since my clients begin their 1:1 coaching journey at various times throughout the year, new slots often become available every month.  If you are interested, please submit the form to the right and I will notify you as soon as a new slot becomes available.

The Situation

It probably went something like this.

Your boss pulled you aside and said the company needs someone to run a big initiative. Multiple teams. Executive visibility. And they picked you, because you get things done.

Then the meetings started, and you realized getting things done as an individual contributor and leading a cross-functional project are two different jobs.

You're fielding questions about scope you never defined. Stakeholders you didn't know existed are appearing in your inbox. Someone asked for a risk register and you nodded like you had one.

You're winging it in front of the people who decide your career.

You are doing the best you can and it's working so far. You'd rather not find out where it stops working.

The Details

Seven 1:1 forty-five minute sessions over 90 days (every other week), built around your actual project. In addition, weekly 45-minute group office hours gives you a place to bring questions.

Days 1 to 30: Build the foundation.

We start with a 1:1 kickoff session on your project's current state, then two working sessions where you build your business case, scope document, and stakeholder roles and responsibilities. I review your drafts between sessions. By day 30, you've shared a complete project charter package with your sponsor.

Days 31 to 60: Take control.

You build your risk and issue register and a status reporting system your stakeholders will actually read. The milestone here isn't a practice artifact. It's your first real status report, shipped to real stakeholders.

Days 61 to 90: Handle the messy middle.

Every project hits it. Slippage, scope creep, a stakeholder who stops responding. These sessions are live problem-solving on whatever your project throws at you, so you learn to handle it while it's happening instead of reading about it later. We close with a debrief and a forward plan you own without me.

What You Walk Away With

Ready to use project templates including:

  • A business case your leadership signed off on
  • A project brief built to align all of your stakeholders
  • A scope document that ends the "wait, is that included?" conversations
  • Stakeholder roles and responsibilities to clarify who does what
  • A communication plan to ensure the right people are talking at the right time
  • A RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Decisions) log to keep control
  • A status reporting system that runs on a schedule, not on panic
  • A budget tracker so you know where each dollar goes
  • A 60+ page workbook with detail for each template including what it is, why it matters, and practical guidance

What's Included

  • Seven 45-minute 1:1 video sessions: kickoff in week one, then every other week
  • Weekly 45-minute group office hours: submit your questions in advance and I come ready to answer, open to all active coachees
  • Slack or email access between sessions, next-business-day response
  • My template library for all core documents
  • I provide detailed notes after every session: the content we covered, the decisions made, and your next steps
  • Review and feedback on your real project documents between sessions
  • Ninety days of a coach in your corner while the project is actually happening

What's Not Included

  • I don't do the work for you. You build the documents. I make sure they're right.
  • No same-day or weekend response.
  • No team coaching, and I don't attend your project meetings.
  • The program ends at day 90. If you want to continue, renewal is available.

I'm telling you what's not included because vague coaching offers are how people end up on awkward customer service calls. You should know exactly what you're buying before you buy it.

Price

$1,997 one-time payment.

First Session Guarantee: if after the kickoff session you decide this isn't for you, I will provide a full refund. After session one, no refunds, but you can pause the program once for up to 30 days for any reason.

Expensing this? Most of my coachees do. [Download the approval email template] to send your manager. It takes two minutes to customize. Formal invoices available on request for expense reports.

About Your Coach

I'm Jeff Maldavir, founder of Shack Consulting. I've spent more than twenty years leading complex, cross-functional initiatives for organizations including Hyatt, Reebok, JP Morgan Chase, Girl Scouts of the USA, and Blood Cancer United, where I recently helped lead a multi-year national rebrand.

I've also taught project management to more than 1,600 learners, so I know the difference between content that sounds good in a session and content that survives contact with a Monday morning.

I built this program because I kept meeting the same person: talented, trusted, handed a big project, but not all of the tools and strategies they need to be effective. This 1:1 coaching program provides you with the equpipment you need to excel in your new role.
